What are the Benefits of Using Essential Oils While Meditating?

Meditation has been practiced for centuries to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being. Now that we've explored the benefits of using essential oils during meditation, let's talk about how to use them. There are several ways to incorporate essential oils into your meditation practice:

1. Diffusing: Add a few drops of your favourite essential oil to an ultrasonic diffuser. Add in the recommended amount of water for your machine, and diffuse for 30 minutes.



2. Personal inhaler: Personal inhalers are great for individual use, such as if you were going to meditate in a group setting. Add approximately 10 drops to a personal inhaler. Take 3 deep breaths at the start of your practice and at the end of your meditation practice.  If you don’t have a personal inhaler you can also use a cotton ball or a tissue. Use 3-4 drops on these.  



3. Topical application: In a 10 mL roller bottle, dilute 2 drops of your favourite essential oil blend in 10 ml of carrier oil such as jojoba or castor oil. Roll this blend over pulse points. Take a few deep breaths as you start meditating.
