Introduction to CO2 extracts Mini-Course

CO2 Extracts are used in aromatherapy and are not well known compared to Essential Oils. CO2’s are extracted from plants using carbon dioxide and are used for their aromas, food flavourings, natural remedies and used in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.

We have brought this new Introduction to CO2 Extracts Mini-Course to our aromatherapy community to raise awareness of these great oils!

In this course Mark teaches about:

  • What are CO2s

  • The history of CO2s

  • The science of CO2s

  • Extraction details

  • CO2 Advantages over other oils

  • Intro about the following CO2’s

    • Clove

    • Frankincense

    • German Chamomille

    • Marjoram

    • Desert Rosewood

    • Rosemary

    • Sage



Taught by Mark Webb

Mark, also known as the aroma science guy, holds a bachelor's degree in Science, majoring in biochemistry, plant physiology & IT. He also has diplomas in aromatherapy including aromatic and herbal medicine, and massage. He is the author of Bush Sense - Australian Essential Oils & Aromatic Compounds.  Mark has spoken at many in person and online events and is always a wealth of knowledge.  Mark is extremely passionate about the aromatic plants of Australia and how they can be better used within the aromatic world. 

Mark will be coming back to North America in 2023.  He will be offering two courses, Aromatic Cuisine, and ABCs of Formulation.
